After an eight year search for a local bar and grill they could purchase, Rick and Patricia Ledinsky discovered the previous owner of The Annex was ready to sell. Founded over forty-five years ago, The Annex was established by two brothers, Solon tavern owners, who built the Pettibone Road location as an annex to their existing establishment. Rick and Patricia took over management of The Annex Bar & Grill in October 1990, and assumed ownership of this Solon landmark in October 1991. We visited with Rick and Patricia recently and listened as they described the Best Kept Secret in Solon;

The Annex Bar & Grill features a menu filled with everything from sandwiches and fries to chili, soups, salads, and hot wings. We offer a full array of beverages including soft drinks, coffee, and beer on draught. We have a full liquor license and currently stock over sixty different beers. We're best known for our ten ounce, hand made, cooked-to-order all-beef hamburgers.

Our burgers are the best around. If you're on a tight schedule at lunch time, you can call ahead and we'll have your burger ready when you get here. A lot of local companies call for large carry-out orders for lunch and their orders are waiting for them when they walk in the door. Our T-shirts say we're the "Best Kept Secret in Solon", and I hear our name mentioned often on the radio. Even when we've been in Baltimore and Florida people will see the T-shirt and stop us to say, "I was at The Annex twenty years ago! Do you still have that burger?"

On Saturday mornings we serve breakfast, and every night we have a special. Mondays and Wednesdays are wing nights, Tuesdays and Thursdays are burger and fries nights, and our Friday special rotates throughout the month. The first Friday of the month is for our fish fry, the second is taco night, the third is for meat-balls, and on the fourth Friday we have another taco night due to popular demand.

The Annex Bar & Grill has four televisions so we can run four different games at one time with our satellite connection. We have a pool table, a pretty good sound system that goes non-stop, and we serve $1.00 draughts all day long, six days a week. We're a smoking establishment and offer a full line of reasonably priced cigars.

We're owner run and operated and have customers from all walks of life. The Annex Bar & Grill is a very enjoyable meeting place where people can get some great food while having a good time. It's a very friendly establishment!
